Martinské Hole

Martinské hole, or Martinky as it is popularly known, is a location, recreation and tourist center in Lúčanská Mala Fatra, west of the town of Martin, on the southern slope of Krížava peak.

Hradište

Hradište (677 m above sea level) is a hill in Mala Fatra in the Martin district in Slovakia. The peak is located outside the main ridge of the mountain range, protruding towards the Turčianska basin. Small deposits of coal can be found in the massif of the hill, and on the top are piled ramparts of the former fortress.

Minčol

Minčol (1,363.9 m above sea level) is a massive mountain in the main ridge of Lúčanská Mala Fatra. It is located approximately 12 km southeast of Žilina.

Šútovský waterfall

Šútovský waterfall is the fourth highest waterfall in Slovakia and the highest in Mala Fatra.
It is located in Mala Fatra at an altitude of 830 m above sea level. m. approximately 4 km from the village of Šútovo. With a height of 38 m, it is the highest waterfall in Mala Fatra. It is fed by water from the Šútovské stream, which has its source in the unusual rock formation Mojžišova spring. They are about 1 km away from the waterfall. The stream directly above the waterfall is 2.5 meters wide.

Strawberry Groves Slovak Village Museum

The museum is the largest outdoor ethnographic exhibition in Slovakia. At present, almost 150 residential, economic, technical, social and religious buildings from the regions of Orava, Turiec, Kysuce and Liptov are concentrated in its area.

Martin Benka Museum

This permanent exhibition presents an authentic environment and the work of the national artist Martin Benka (1888-1971), one of the most important personalities of the founding generation of Slovak modern art, presenting the life and myth of his native land.

Fire Museum

The museum tour consists of a display of horse and hand sprayers, a display of motor sprayers, a department of weapons and equipment, a collection of international uniforms and two displays of fire engines. The exhibits are located in three different buildings within the SIM complex. The area also has a small ZOO farm, barbecue areas, sports fields and a pump track.

Slovak Chamber Theatre

The Slovak Chamber Theater in Martin is one of the professional drama scenes in the Central Slovak region.

Railway Museum

The exhibition includes several model railways and both of our model cars. The exhibition is gradually improved and expanded with new exhibits.

Stránske Medvede

It has been 26 years since a small grocery store turned into a pleasant local pub “Stránske Medvede”.
